[email protected] slash 21 days. Welcome to day 14. Jesus is our present and future hope. We put our hope in our soon coming king and his promise of forever. Revelation 21, verse one through five says, now I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven, and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. And then I, John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men. And he will dwell with them and they shall be his people.
Speaker 0 00:01:01 God himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There shall be no more death, no sorrow nor crying. There shall be no more pain. For the former things have passed away than he who said on the throne, said, behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, right. For these words are true and faithful. Imagine a new heaven and a new earth, a holy city where Jesus is our king. And every tear is wiped away. This promised inheritance is ours as Christ followers, our hope is not merely in a city, but rather in Jesus Christ, our soon coming King, spending every day in his presence. Pray with me, father, amid so much sorrow and brokenness and fallenness in this world. May those around us encounter hope now and in the future through the reality that Jesus Christ will return and make all things new. Lord, we pray for our communities and our nations to experience a revival of hope through Jesus Christ as we lift our eyes toward a future day when Jesus returns and make makes all things new. So, Lord, help those who do not have this hope encounter you, the God of hope through your word, through your love, expressed by your people, through your Holy Spirit and however you choose to reveal yourself. Let there be hope. Amen.
