Speaker 0 00:00:01 This is Pastor Steve at Westside Church in Bend, Oregon. Throughout these 21 days, we will spend some time, every day in prayer together. After today's episode, find more resources for you and your [email protected] slash 21 days. Welcome to today, 16. Jesus is our peace. So let's remember and pursue the peace that surpasses all understanding. John chapter 16, verse 33 says, I have told you these things so that in me, you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world. Pastor and theologian, Dietrich Bon Hoffer wrote a prayer while he was imprisoned in a concentration camp and during World War ii, and he was facing a death sentence. This was his prayer. I am lonely, but you do not leave me. I am feeble in heart, but with you, there is help. I am restless. But with you, there is peace. Speaker 0 00:01:09 Even when it seems like there is no hope. Jesus is our peace. With that in mind, would you pray with me? Lord, we pray for those who feel far from you today, that you would fill them with your peace that transcends all understanding, and that Lord, you would have an opportunity to show them, to explain to them, to reveal to them what you did for them. Lord, we pray and declare P, peace over our cities that it and you would prosper. We pray for our churches. Many have suffered divisions over these last few years. We pray, Lord, that confessions would arise, that you yourself are our peace, and that peace would unite us and tear down any wall that divides in Jesus' name. Amen.
