[email protected] slash 21 days. Welcome to day 17, the priority of knowing and loving Jesus. What should we do before anything else? Well, in Ephesians chapter one, verses 17 and 18, Paul wrote to us, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you the riches of his glorious inheritance in His holy people. You know, the world is so noisy right now. It constantly calls out to us with urgent invitations to put our trust in anything other than Jesus.
Speaker 0 00:01:07 You know, come. This expert can help you. Look, this problem is too big. Yet Jesus remains our hope. He's our constant, so let us continue to fix our attention on Him. First and foremost, as we pray today, father, there's so many ways that we get distracted by this world, by the busyness of our lives, by the trouble and problems all around us. Would you help us, father, to return our attention to Jesus, to focus in on Him and his work, in our lives and in our world? Lord, there are situations all around us in our communities that seem hopeless. Jesus, we ask you to intervene into those spaces where hopelessness prevails, that your light would shine in those places of darkness and confusion. Lord, there are places and ways in our churches that we have inadvertently put trust in other things beside you, and we ask for your forgiveness and to help us by your spirit to keep our focus and attention upon you. We pray in Jesus' name, amen.
